In line with highly ambitious growth plans coupled with a £multi-million investment in infrastructure and operations, an accomplished Supply Chain professional with proven Project / Programme Management experience is sought with experience of delivering large-scale warehouse / logistics automation capital investment projects via a PMO structured set-up.

Forming part of the senior team, this newly created role will be highly influential with significant scope and onward development assured.

Senior Automation Project Manager (High volume logistics and distribution network – new start-up)

Commute from: Coventry, Leicester, Derby, Northampton, Birmingham

Salary: to £95,000 + Benefits + WFH capability (up to 2 days)

The Role

Lead business wide stakeholders (internal and external) to achieve key milestones in a complex, multi-phase programme against ambitious targets.
Develop and manage the team plus resources to assess and support the feasibility of projects in conjunction with the Operations Team.
Ensure the projects meet or exceed the required levels of availability, performance and are delivered against specific measures and objectives.
Actively manage associated project risks, issues, and other dependencies, constructing suitable action plans to rectify and deliver.
Management of capex budget through to delivery.
Complete administrative functions including reports, expenditure approval, managing policies, and general decision making relating to the purchase of materials and services.

 

The Person

Industry experience of automated warehouse / logistics installation projects including sizable capex investment.
Experience of working within a PMO (Project Management Office) structure and setting.
Strong Project / Programme Management skills gained in a high volume, fast moving warehouse, distribution, manufacturing or 3PL environment.
Ability to work within a dynamic and agile working environment, interacting with cross-functional team members plus an array of stakeholders.
Ability to manage data flows and create reporting templates plus presentations.
